Current Events on Geocommons

Howdy from the FortiusOne Data Team,

I’m going try to start Blogging more about the most excellent assortment of Geocommons Data. I’ll also try to keep you informed of other Data related happenings, for example, we all got some pretty awesome Fortiusone fleece vests from Patagonia, Christmas came early this year.

To Start things off, last week we spent our time searching for some fun and/or interesting current events that we thought you might enjoy. Some datasets are educational, such as presidential campaign funding. Some datasets are useful, such as the Verizon FIOS Internet Availability, I’ve heard people talking about this all over the place… everyone wants it. And lastly, some datasets are our attempt at being hip and trendy, that would be a reference to out American Idol Contestant Hometowns dataset. Anyways, heres a list of some of the favorites:
