Of the record number of votes (nearly 350, 600) cast in yesterday’s caucuses, Democrats share was a little over 71%, i.e., more than 250,000. That is nearly 38% of the total registered Democrats. Iowa also have very large number of Independents and many of who may have voted for one of the Democratic candidates. And they have managed to change the direction of the Democratic party’s nomination by voting in record numbers for Obama (over 93,000) giving him 38% of the total votes cast.
