Dataset of the Day: Speeding Detectors and Traffic Cameras in Washington, D.C.
In Washington, D.C. it is not uncommon to see people pulled over for speeding. You might have even been one of the unlucky who has been caught by one of several speed detectors throughout DC. If you haven’t the next time you are at a intersection, K Street and 17th for instance, and you speed through a red light, a traffic camera may snap a picture of your license plate. This data was collected from the GIS Data Coordinator in DC Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO). The data was publically published on the Data Catalog website for Washington, D.C.
